I met Barbara Brower rather dramatically...she walked up to me at a Grammy party in Chicago and asked me if I was an actor. At the time, I was working on an online TV show called Take This Job And...so I told her that I was an actor. She said that she was working on a documentary on domestic violence and would like for me to be a part of it. The rest is history! Look below to see the monolgue...
Hi, My name is Ronald Rembert Jr. and I would like to talk to you for a minute about domestic violence. Domestic violence isn't just physical abuse, but any way of manipulating, threatening or controlling someone close to you. If you are close to someone who is sexually, verbally, emotionally or physically abusive, there is help that is available. You do not have to remain in an abusive relationship. If you are an abuser...stop! If you are abusing someone who is close to you, there are resources available to help you. Please don't allow domestic violence to destroy your life or the lives of those closest to you. Domestic violence hurts! Domestic violence humiliates! Domestic violence kills! Thank you.
